Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus’ message in Matthew 28:18-20 is challenging, empowering, inspiring and so important for all of us to fully embrace in every day life. That’s why we are so excited about this year’s Bishop’s Youth Rally theme, “GO!”

The event will help youth explore what it means to personally live out Jesus’ challenge to GO and make disciples. Youth will learn what it really means to be a disciple and how to live into their faith in every day life. Participants will also have many opportunities to think about what God might be calling them to do to make a difference for the Kingdom through big and small acts. They will also discover that no job is too big or small for Jesus, who equips us to GO and do the work he calls us to do.

Speakers and workshop presenters include:

  • Bishop Mike;
  • Mark Oestreicher,
  • Kurt Johnston;
  • Hannah Foust;
  • Cutter Gage; and
  • DJ Perez

Aside from a new venue, St. Luke’s UMC will help us expand program options, participants can expect these changes this year:

  • Small group discussions. Youth will engage in challenging discussions with their peers and leaders in small groups in every session. Youth will talk about big things, set goals and support one another through prayer and encouragement in every session.
  • Games (Connect Activities). We have added games to the day as a way for groups to connect with one another and have added fun! Games will include Ninesquare and Gaga Ball!
  • Schedule. The event will launch with all participants together in the main room, then groups will set off for a day packed with exciting learning opportunities and Connect Activities. The schedule will help learners of all ages engage in discussion and theme application. We will conclude with worship in the main room.
  • Adult Leader Connection & Resources. We want to equip leaders to support students as they work to GO and be disciples that make disciples. Adult leaders will be invited to connect with Mark Oestreicher and Kurt Johnston for a time of connection and Q&A.
  • The GO Store. Will be stocked with books and other merchandise.

We hope you’ll join us for this amazing day of learning, connection and worship!
