YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND
West District Training Event
“LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR - HOSPITALITY ON THE GO”
September 15, 2018
Mount Pleasant UMC – Terre Haute
Jesus’ commandment and commission to each believer is clear: “Love one another” and “Go make disciples.” Do you believe you could be better at both? This training will equip and inspire you so that you can do the work that God expects of His Church. Please make every effort to attend with many from your congregation!!
Facilitated by Rev. Dr. Jim Ozier and Allison Curts
Jim Ozier has served the United Methodist Church in active service for 51 years. He retired from the North Texas Conference last year in order to work directly with congregations as a workshop leader, coach and consultant. Based on techniques and ideas learned from his experience with Southwest Airlines, his focus for the West District will be on church culture and hospitality. Rev. Ozier’s ideas have been published in the book “Clip In: Risking Hospitality in Your Church” which he co-authored.
Allison Curts serves the Indiana Conference as Associate Director of Mission and Justice Ministries. Mission and Justice Ministries seeks to help church members make discipleship transformation a reality, by equipping and clarifying your missionary life. The team connects local churches to resources for the purpose of consciousness-raising, missional-action, and institutional change through relationship building that values each individual as a child of God.
