New Albany church hosts annual high school football spaghetti dinner

Silver Street UMC at New Albany, in south Indiana, hosts an annual high school football spaghetti dinner. The event was well attended by players and coaches. This event has been held for 14 years and has affected the lives of many students while in school and now in the community raising families. The players receive a personalized card letting them know that members are praying for them – not necessarily to win – although that is important to some, but more that God would keep them safe and allow others to see Christ at work in them in the way they play the game and in the way they exhibit sportsmanship.
