Health agency and Batesville church to offer cancer support group
BATESVILLE, Ind. – The Batesville United Methodist Church, in partnership with Margaret Mary Health, will soon be offering a cancer support group whose goal is to ensure access to valuable community resources to those living with cancer. The group will also provide hope, encouragement, education and sanctuary. HOPE will meet the last Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Batesville United Methodist Church, 106 S. Park Avenue and will feature a guest speaker, time for topic discussion and fellowship. The Batesville community and beyond are invited to attend. The first session was scheduled for Thursday, June 26, and featured a discussion around the emotional rollercoaster of cancer and the fear of recurrence. For a complete list of monthly topics or for more information, contact Kari Ann Rennekamp of the Margaret Mary Outpatient and Cancer Center at 812-933-3741 or the Batesville United Methodist Church at 812-934-3137.
