Bishop Julius C. Trimble has invited Bishop Mike Coyner and Rev. Dr. Doug Anderson to return this year to lead the Making a Good Move seminar. The seminar is required for all clergy moving to new appointments this year. Pastors are expected and spouses are welcome to attend. The first day of the seminar begins Friday, May 12 at 2 pm (ET), and ends around 9 pm (ET) Friday night. Dinner is provided.
The seminar will continue on Saturday, May 13, from 10 am until Noon (ET) for clergy and representatives of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee of the new appointment. Lunch is not included on Saturday.
Clergy entering new appointments in 2017 should register themselves, their spouse and SPRC representatives that will be participating in the seminar. There is no cost to attend the seminar. However, registration is required in order to have materials and meals available for all.
The purpose of this seminar is to help clergy, spouses and the SPRC members begin their new appointments by learning healthy and fruitful ways for shared ministry.

Childcare will be available. You must reserve childcare during the registration process. The cost for childcare is $8 per hour per child. You may reserve Friday only for $48 per child (6 hours at $8 per hour); Saturday only for $16 per child (2 hours at $8 per hour) or both Friday and Saturday for $64 per child (8 hours at $8 per hour).
Parents will pick up their children during the dinner hour on Friday. Childcare staff will not feed children, except for bottles for infants (must be provided by parents). Childcare must be reserved at time of registration (no walk ins). You will receive an invoice after registration to be paid before the event. No cancellations for childcare once you have reserved a spot.
Hotel Information: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Baymont Inn and Suites, 6010 Gateway Dr in Plainfield (317-837-9000). To get the special rate of $79 per night ask for the United Methodist rate (UMC-MAY) Special rate is available until May 3, 2017.
