Rejuvenate
Rejuvenate is for all clergy and laity who want to grow … grow in the areas of financial management and planning and stewardship education.
The Rejuvenate project was introduced to the Indiana Conference in 2009. This four year Indiana conference-wide project is made possible thanks to a generous matching grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.
Through Rejuvenate’s education program, many clergy, their spouses, families, laity and congregations will be able to re-energize, maybe even rebuild, their financial lives.
Rejuvenate will train both clergy and laity in effective financial management and planning and stewardship education. This training will lead to creating healthier congregational approaches to stewardship and generosity and management of funds for effective ministry.
Educational opportunities for clergy and laity are listed on our website www.inumc.org/rejuvenate. Additional educational opportunities will be added throughout the year.
The project includes an economic initiative for clergy. Matching grants are available to assist clergy in reducing or eliminating education debt (Clergy Education Debt Reduction grant), personally contributing to their United Methodist Personal Investment Plan account (Retirement Fund Incentives), establishing a family emergency fund (Funding for Emergencies) and exiting ministry in a compassionate way (Called Anew Fund). Bishop Coyner and the Cabinet provide oversight to the Called Anew Fund.
Clergy, remember, Rejuvenate is for you, if …..
You have a lot of educational debt,
Little educational debt, or
No educational debt.
Laity, remember Rejuvenate is for you if you want to learn and grow in the areas of financial management and planning and stewardship education.
Additional information about the matching grants is on the Conference web site.
