INDIANA ANNUAL CONFERENCE SESSION TO MEET JUNE 10-13 IN MUNCIE

REGISTER SOON

REJUVENATE TWO-DAY WORKSHOPS COMING ACROSS INDIANA

Clergy and Laity are encouraged to participate in the “Extravagant Generosity” workshops led by Rev. David Bell. (Visit www.inumc.org/rejuvenate for the workshops’ locations.)

Clergy are to register for both Friday and Saturday workshops.

Registration fees

  • Friday: Clergy, $60 per person; clergy spouse, $15 per person (Meal is provided on Friday.)
  • Saturday: Clergy/Lay Team: $30 per church (Light refreshments provided on Saturday.)

REMINDER: Clergy applying for one of the initiatives’ grants must attend both the Friday and Saturday workshops. Childcare is available upon request (indicate need for childcare when you register). If you have questions, contact the Rev. Michelle Cobb at (toll-free) 877-781-6706 or 317-924-1321. Clergy may attend any of the seminar locations.

CENTRAL, NORTH CENTRAL DISTRICTS TO HOST PERSONAL PRAYER EVENT

Dr. Terry Tykl presents “An Experience in Prayer”-- This day-long seminar will improve your personal prayer life as well as the way your church supports the needs of others and our world. This event is for both pastors and laity.

Saturday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Carmel UMC, 6221 Rangeline Rd, Carmel, IN 46032.

Your $25 registration fee includes lunch and reservations are a must. Childcare will be provided by reservation at 765-864-0655 by Feb. 1.

NEXT STEP EVANGELISM TO HOST HAMILTON, DUNNAM AT ATLANTA EVENT

Every 3.6 second a person dies of hunger and 75 percent of these are children. What can we do to help? Next Step Evangelism Justice and Mercy Initiative presents Feasting and Famine: The Radical Middle on Hunger, an event featuring the Revs. Adam Hamilton and Maxie Dunnam in Atlanta, Ga. on March 4, 5 and 6. The event will include worship, panel discussions, a ministry fair, informative break-out sessions and opportunities for hands on ministry through First United Methodist Church in Atlanta. Youth as Resources announces the availability of project funds for volunteer service projects designed and carried out by youth to serve their communities. Grants may range up to $5,000 and are for any group of youth sponsored by a non-profit organization.

Senior University Explores Interfaith Music and Worship

Senior University Explores Interfaith Music and Worship

The second annual Senior University topic is The Sacred Bridge: Our Neighbors’ Experiences with Worship and Prayer. This innovative interfaith program explores the history of worship and musical styles in our communities. This study and worship event is 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6050 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. There is a $12.50 charge for lunch. To reserve your place, mail a check for $12.50 (payable to IHC) to Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, 6501 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46260 or you may charge by phone by calling Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation at 317-255-6647. Registration is limited to 150. CHURCHWIDE CHANGE THE WORLD EVENT COMING APRIL 24 and 25

What if…on one weekend all around the world, 11 million United Methodists came together to work with their local communities? What if…as we serve people locally, we unite globally to eliminate a preventable, treatable disease that kills one child every 30 seconds?

On April 24 and 25th, your congregation is invited to participate in Change the World, an event that will reveal the many ways that faithful Christians everywhere are serving God.

INDIANAPOLIS AREA CHURCHES TO HOST CONCERT FUNDRAISER
  • Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at St. Luke’s UMC in Indianapolis
  • Proceeds benefit Barnes’ Community Center
  • Tickets are $8 in advance for adults and $4 for children ages 8 to 17. Children 7 and younger are free. At the door tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
