Day 4 - June 3, 2012
The Spirit of Revival ignites and spreads like wildfire throughout Indiana. The people attending the Indiana Annual Conference will take the revival back to their churches and communities.
36 “Therefore, let all Israel know beyond question that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” 37 When the crowd heard this, they were deeply troubled. They said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Change your hearts and lives. Each of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 This promise is for you, your children, and for all who are far away – as many as the Lord our God invites.” 40 With many other words he testified to them and encouraged them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Those who accepted Peter’s message were baptized. God brought about three thousand people into the community on that day.
We praise you, O Lord, for your goodness and love that reigns forever. You are the originator of love and blessings, so allow love and blessings to fill the Indiana Annual Conference during each event in Indianapolis. Please send the Holy Spirit to burn our hearts with love for you, so we can make room for Jesus. Seal our broken hearts with the blood of Jesus so your heavenly love doesn’t leak and lose effectiveness. Forgive us of our sins as we forgive others who have hurt us. Cover us with the blood of Jesus for protection from evil and sickness. Teach us how to make room in our lives to receive the heart of God so we will know how to live godly lives. Light the fires of revival in each church as people seek the face of God and model the life of Jesus. Unite the churches in the state for the purpose of revival. Break that which holds people back from spreading the message of hope in Jesus Christ. Breathe on us a fresh breath of love, wisdom, courage, unity, favor, and glory.
Show us how to reach people in our communities who need to hear the Good News from the Word of God. Teach us how to welcome all people into our congregations and bring them into service for your glory. We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
