The vision of the Indiana Conference is that we will be a connection of vibrant congregations with fruitful leaders and faithful disciples transforming the world by doing no harm, doing good, and staying in love with God. The values that we highly regard are being Missional; Accountable; Called; and Connectional, which guides our ministry as an Annual Conference.
The process of realizing the vision and living out our core values can be demonstrated, in part, through the annual Summer Conversation between Clergy and Conference Superintendents. This opportunity places before the Conference Superintendent and Clergy conversation starters about fruitful ways a pastor lives as a disciple, leads and manages the congregation, and develops the missional reach of the staff and laity beyond the walls of the church.
It is the hope, each clergyperson will prayerfully complete and timely submit the Summer Conversation form to their respective District Office. In honoring these guidelines, it will continue to affirm the call of the clergyperson, enrich the conversation, and strengthen the connection by cultivating care and assessing the needs of clergy.
The process of cultivating care for deploying Fruitful Leaders consist of the Summer Conversations, as well as the Clergy Assessment Process which takes place in the Fall. These two touch points offers the possibilities for greater communication and accountability, as we strive to accomplish the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Thank you for being a faithful participant as we continue Being Hope for the cause of Christ in Indiana and beyond!
