The Garden Community United Methodist Church seeks Office and Volunteer Coordinator

The Garden is seeking the right individual to fill the role of Office & Volunteer Coordinator. This staff member role is 24-hours/week, with approximately 20 hours spent in the church office and 4 hours spent at the Sunday morning services. The following is a summary of the responsibilities of this role:

The individual in this position provides a connection between the office and Sunday morning worship. This individual performs administrative support for the Senior Pastor as well as The Garden’s staff. Additionally, this person coordinates hospitality volunteers on Sunday mornings and oversees the setup and tear down at Beef and Boards before and after the Sunday services and special events. The successful candidate carries out these functions while providing a pleasant and organized atmosphere for all who enter or contact the Church or office, meeting the needs of staff, guests, volunteers, and congregants with care and discretion.

Qualified persons will have 2 years of experience in an office setting, possess demonstrable skills using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher and will have previous experience with church or business enterprise software.
