Old Bethel UMC seeks Community Partnership Director
Old Bethel United Methodist Church is seeking a Community Partnership Director who will partner the local church and our community partners together to effectively offer opportunities for Hispanic/Latino and spiritual nonreligious neighbors to encounter Christ through worship, serving, growing, sharing, and giving. This person would bridge the local church with its community partners and resource our Hispanic/Latino and spiritual nonreligious neighbors according to their spiritual, physical, emotional, and legal needs.
Qualifications and Skills of Job Role:
A growing and intentional relationship with Jesus Christ.
Works through conflict in healthy ways. Takes initiative and utilizes a strong and moral work ethic.
A bachelor’s degree preferred. Associates Degree may be accepted.
Understands how to build relationships with community organizations.
Understands the needs of and has compassion for Hispanic persons.
Experience in engaging the broader community for Christ.
Believes Christ has called the church to continue to spread the Good News.
Believes the Kingdom of God welcomes all people.
Understands the work of the church as both something that happens within the walls and outside the walls of the physical church building.
Is willing to work as a part of a team to fully support the mission and vision of the church by sharing in prayerful and strategic ministry.
Biblically supports women in leadership and will work supportively under the leadership of a woman supervisor.
