Lenten Series March 8-April 5 at 7:00 pm each Wednesday. DVD series and discussion on Adam Hamilton's "Why?: Making Sense of God's Will." Why do my prayers go unanswered? Why do the innocent suffer? Unraveling the "problem of pain" and clarifying common misconceptions about God, Adam Hamilton concludes that our heavenly Father walks with us when we hurt - and works through us to heal others.

Seminar on Stopping Human Trafficking Workshop and Luncheon – On Saturday, March 18, a Seminar on Stopping Human Trafficking will take place in Price Hall. Lunch is at 12:00 p.m. and the Program follows with Tom Overton, Director of Hope61, and Jessica Evans, Founder of Purchased in Indianapolis. It is open to anyone interested in learning more about how to stop human trafficking in Johnson County and Central Indiana and to share info about recognizing the signs of those involved in trafficking. Crawfordsville First UMC
First United Methodist Church is located in the historic town of Crawfordsville, IN. The church is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry and Contemporary Worship to oversee two ministries – youth ministry and contemporary worship. It is understood that there will be times where time and energy will be given to one ministry over another ministry but that it will balance itself out in the end.
As the Director of the Youth Ministry, this person shall seek to foster Christian community through building relationships with young people in grades 6 through 12 that strengthen their commitment to the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ. The youth ministry team includes weekly volunteers as well as the Youth Advisory Board. The program is comprised of Youth Group, including small group breakouts, special events, Sunday morning youth education, and service opportunities.
As the Contemporary Worship Coordinator, s/he will be the “producer” of each Gathering worship service and special programs. This involves working collaboratively and mentoring worship leaders as well as the worship band.
The ideal candidates will have a deep and living relationship with Jesus Christ, a call to minister to youth, gifts in leadership and vision, musical ability to lead worship with an instrument, a Bachelor’s degree and two years of volunteer or paid youth ministry experience.

Facilities Assistant Position: The Staff Parish Committee at University Heights UMC is looking for a person to fulfill the Facilities Assistant position. Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin is reopening its search to seek a person to coordinate the congregational care ministries of the church. The person will demonstrate a strong commitment to Christ and the local church and possess the necessary skills related to the work of pastoral care as well as strong organizational skills and team building abilities. Special attention to new member assimilation and visitation will be important. A degree is not required, though experience in social work or previous church related ministries in pastoral care is preferable. Position Summary: The Director of Sound and Worship Tech prepares all sound and visuals for Sunday morning services and all other events. This preparation helps create an inviting worship experience which allows others to share in our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Terms of Employment: The Director of Sound and Worship Tech is a part-time staff position.
Reports to: Senior Pastor/Director of Worship
Supervises: Volunteers who serve with the sound and visuals in worship and children’s worship
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Model agape love.
- Design, recruit a team, and implement a plan to provide sound and visuals for worship services and other gatherings.
- Oversee the setup of the sound/tech for worship services on Sunday and oversee the tear down of the sound/tech equipment after Sunday worship services.
- Works with the worship planning team and prepares slides and visuals for Sunday services.
Office Assistant - Part time
The Office Assistant acts as the first point of contact for guests and callers and alerts others of security issues while also undertaking a variety of other administrative tasks. As the first point of contact, the office assistant will connect with each person entering the church and interact with each ministry area and work together to fulfill the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Experience in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, is desired, however we are willing to train the right candidate.
